Can non-residential guests VISIT SYDNEY HOUSE CHELSEA? 

Non-residential guests and visitors are very welcome to join us for breakfast or drinks at Sydney House Chelsea.

Traveling to and from Sydney House Chelsea 

Underground
Sydney House Chelsea is a 5 min walk from south Kensington underground station piccadilly line and circle line.

Air
Our closest airport is Heathrow airport, which is 45 miles away, take the piccadilly line eastbound directly to south Kensington station. The journey takes about 45-50 minutes from the station is 5-minute walk to Sydney House Chelsea. And by taxi, the most direct door to door option. The journey can take 45 minutes to over an hour, heavily dependent on traffic.

Other airports

London City Airport:
Very convenient for central London and the financial district, located to the east. A Taxi would be the most direct option to Chelsea. 

Gatwick Airport:
Located south of London. You would need to take a train to a central station like Victoria or London bridge and then connect via underground or taxi.

Stansted Airport:
Located far to the north of London. Take Stansted express to Liverpool Street station then take the underground (circle line or Hammersmith & City line) westbound to south Kensington station.

Are dogs allowed at Sydney House Chelsea? 

Sydney House Chelsea maintains a policy whereby pets are not presently permitted on the premises. This policy is currently under review as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing our guest experience. We are pleased to inform you that we have initiated the necessary procedures to amend this policy to allow canine guests. This process involves finalising new safety protocols and preparing designated rooms. We project that dogs will be formally welcomed within the coming weeks to months.

Are children welcome at Sydney House Chelsea? 

Children of all ages are welcome to stay at the hotel and infants (aged 0 - 2) stay for free. Children (aged 3 - 16) will be on the same rate (e.g. bed & breakfast) as the adults on their reservation. 

Require laundry or ironing services during your stay? 

Laundry services are available during your stay for an additional charge. Your items will be returned to you within 24 hours. If you need an iron and an ironing board, they can be found in your room.  Dry Cleaning is available locally but is subject to availability. 

Do you have interconnecting rooms? 

To better serve our guests, we are excited to be introducing interconnecting rooms shortly. While this project is underway, our team will make every effort to allocate your rooms next to each other, based on availability. 

Do you have family rooms? 

Sydney House Chelsea does not have dedicated family rooms. However, we would be delighted to accommodate your family across multiple guest rooms and will do our best to ensure they are located close together, subject to availability.

what time is breakfast served? 

Breakfast is served from 7am – 11am. If you require an earlier breakfast, please speak with Reception who will be happy to arrange a light option.

Can I book a private event at Sydney House Chelsea? 

Can I book a private event at Sydney House Chelsea? Although Sydney House Chelsea does not offer private event spaces, we have a meeting rooms available for the whole day. Contact Reception to enquire, call 020 7376 7711 or email reception@sydneyhousechelsea.co.uk.

Does the hotel provide walking maps? 

Yes, we provide London Maps. Please ask at the reception desk.

Where can I smoke or vape around Sydney House Chelsea? 

You are free to smoke outside. Please don’t smoke or vape inside our public rooms or inside your own room. Smoking indoors is prohibited and will incur a charge.
